Sometimes it seems as though dating has come to mean just one thing - "dinner and movie." The phrase itself has become something of a cliché because it's been so overdone. Of course dinner and a movie has its place and it's certainly true that going out to a romantic restaurant can be very conducive to fanning the flames of passion!

However I'm always impressed when a man makes the effort to suggest something different, especially in the early stages of getting to know each other. I have always loved the outdoors, so dates like picnics, country walks or cycling really appeal to me. It's also fun to explore parts of the city where you've never been before, perhaps riding a tram or bus to a Sunday flea market.

Think about the online chats, emails and phone calls that you've had with your potential partner and you'll soon discover clues that will reveal the kind of things they would really enjoy. Then get creative and arrange a date to remember.
